annak, kinek
szemét kivernéd,
vagy ételt,
italt annak, aki
téged
étlen-szomjan hagyott,
készíts eggyel
több műszert, inget,
cipőt, rakj jól
egy asztagot,
ez valami! Nem
hazug frázis,
nem délibáb, nem
lanyha álom,
de fogható tett,
győzelem
önmagadon és a világon!

Sárba léptem.
Mihelyt
ellenségeim
meglátták,
ruhám és arcom
is
rút pocsolyával
dobálták.
Megbotlottam.

taszítottak.
Imádkoztam
értük…
Ők átkot szórtak

Orvosságot

mérget hintettek
sebemre.

The Creation
Day 1—Unfinished
Earth & Heavens; Day & Night:
At the first, God created the heavens & earth,
though the earth was a dark, formless waste.
There was nothing to hear and nothing to see,
and nothing to feel or to taste.
It was totally black as He looked all around,
so He ordered, “Let there be light!”
“And the light,” He said, “I will surely call day,
and the darkness, I will call night.”
The morning came, the evening was done.
He saw it was good; that ended Day One.
Day 2—Earth & Sky:
And He said, “Let there be an expanse to divide
the waters below from above.”
And they became known from that day on
as the Earth and the heavens above.
The morning was over, the evening was through,
He saw it was good; that ended Day Two.
Day 3—Dry Land & Seas; Plants & Trees:
Next, He divided the dry land from the waters,
and called them Earth and Seas.
And grew some great vegetation next,
all sorts of plants and trees.
“Everything’s wonderful, in all that I see!”
He saw it was good; that ended Day Three.
Day 4—Sun, Moon & Stars:
Then He distinguished evening from dawn,
by creating three different lights.
He first put the sun in the heavens for day,
then the moon in the heavens for night.
Then threw in some stars, told the heavens, “Shine more,
and light My new earth from now on.
I don’t like the darkness, I only like light.”
And so very brightly they shone.
He said, “Tomorrow, I’ll create some more.”
He saw it was good; that ended Day Four.
Day 5—Creatures, Above & Below:
Then He said, “Let’s have some creatures
in the seas and in the sky.”
So the waters teemed, just like He said,
and birds began to fly.
So the day closed out on those alive.
He saw it was good; that ended Day Five.
Day 6—Man, with Dominion Over All:
Then He wanted more living creatures,
like cattle and creepers and stuff,
He said, “Let Us make man in Our image,
these creatures aren’t enough.
and give man charge over all the Earth,
over creatures, great and small.”
So male and female, He created them,
but even that wasn’t all.
He told them, “Enjoy the plants and fruits,
I’ve put them here for you.
Eat your fill and enjoy your new lives,
and have many children, too!”
He looked around, there was nothing to fix.
He saw it was good; that ended Day Six.
Day 7—Day of Rest:
And He realized He’d done His best,
He’d done all that He wanted to do.
And so He thought He’d take a rest,
now that His work was through.
Things looked great on both Earth and in heaven.
Thank the Lord, it was finally Day Seven!

A SAMÁRIAI FALU
ELŐTT. . .
Lukács 9: 51-56.
Uram Jézus, bejártuk a falut.
Megzörgettünk minden bezárt kaput.
Szállást kértünk, egyszerű nyughelyet.
De nem nyílt szív, nem nyílt ajtó Neked.
A szent város oly megvetett nekik,
Ki arra tart, azt be se engedik.
Pedig van hely. Szükség is lenne Rád.
Gyötrődik és vérzik minden család.
Csak pár órát ha tölthetnél velük,
Megváltozhatna egész életük.
Oly gőgösek, Uram, az emberek!
Nem érdemlik, hogy tovább éljenek.
Ítélj, Uram, égesd meg e falut,
A sok bezárt házat, szívet, kaput.
Ahogy egykor Illés cselekedett,
Kérünk Uram, kérünk égi tüzet!
- Nem tudjátok, sértődött emberek,
Minémű lélek van tibennetek.
Küldetésteket félreértitek,
Idő előtt kérvén ítéletet.
Az idők végén lesz ítélet is.
Megrázza az eget is, földet is.
De ez a kor: kegyelem napja ez.
Nem tűzfolyam, élő víz ömledez.
Nem kényszer ez. Kegyelmes zörgetés.
Kereszthordozó, égi küldetés.
Uratok földre azért érkezett,
Hogy megkeresse, ami elveszett.

Új parancsolat
„Új parancsolatot adok néktek
- mondja Jézus -, egymást szeressétek!”
Parancsra, ó, szeretni hogy lehet
olyan testvért is, aki nem szeret?
Ha parancs, akkor nincs megalkuvás!
Krisztus vitéze mit tehetne mást?...
Hisz a parancsszegés halált jelent,
örök halált, örök élet helyett.
De hogy szeressem azt, aki ellenem
olyan sok rosszat szól, s tesz szüntelen,
s ezért szívem iránta oly rideg?
Nem, nem tudom, hisz nem érdemli meg!
Ám szól a Lélek hangja itt belül:
Magadnak mit hozhatsz fel érdemül,
Amiért Krisztus oly nagyon szeret,
hogy halálával örök életet
adott neked? Mert több mint érzelem
az Ő szeretete, bölcs értelem,
s míg itt járt, tettek dús tömege volt,
amint sok elesettet fölkarolt.

Szeretni egymást hogyan, s mint lehet?
„Amint én szerettelek titeket!”
- a drága „normát” Ő így szabta meg,
s előtte szívünk hátrálva remeg,
hisz Ő szeretetből az életét
adta halálra!... Tőlünk semmiképp
- ez legjobb barátunkért – sem telik,
legfeljebb, ha erővel elveszik!
De halljuk újra Szentlelke szavát:
Nem azzal kezdte Ő szolgálatát,
hogy életet mindjárt halálra vált.
Először élt érettünk Ő, tehát
Nekünk is élnünk kell a másikért
- s nem ellene! – a bűn bárhogy kísért,
mert sokkal könnyebb szóval halni, mint
élni a nagy parancsolat szerint.

„Arról látják meg majd az emberek,
hogy tanítványaimmál lettetek,
ha szeretetem tiszta tetteit
egymásért termi bennetek a hit!”
- Ezt mondja végül hű Urunk nekünk,
s ha tenni elmulasztjuk, vétkezünk.
E közösségi belső szeretet
külső bizonyságtétellé lehet.
Mert itt e földön égető hiány
a szeretet, mit mindenki kíván,
s ha megtalálja köztünk, mit keres,
nyomban belátja azt, hogy érdemes
Krisztus testének tagja lenni itt,
hogy nem legenda, s nem mese a hit,
mely a szeretet tetteiből él,
s minden szónál meggyőzőbben beszél.

Tehát parancs, munka, s bizonyságtétel
a szeretet, s ki szent oltárán ég el,
örök kincset nyer az magának itt, s fenn,
mert a szeretet az maga az Isten.
